Tuscany Country Grill - Novato

The first time I was in this restaurant. Another one told me about it. The food was great, salad was fresh, fish (sole) was excellent. veg cooked right. Bread Dessert was made excellent at home. You're missing if you don't try this restaurant.

My husband and I have been eating here since their opening, about every month. It's not very authentic, but better than Pasta pomodoro. In order not to be very authentic, prices are somewhat above the top. We had a very bad experience with the waitress named Racey on Sunday. We ordered 2 pasta dishes and they brought us a small bowl (about 2 teaspoons) Parmesan cheese. I asked if we could have another one and she said it was 95 cents for extra cheese. IMO, it is bad to charge a customer if they want additional cheese. The Italian restaurants we were to roast the cheese right above your plate. They do not charge you every time they have more cheese for you. Anyway, the bill came to $37.78. We left five $1,00 bills as a tip. When we left the restaurant, she ran out with the bill and the tip and said we left our change. I said that was the tip. She said in these exact words: “No, I think you need it more than me.” Very rude and unprofessional!
