Opa's call themselves a cafe conial, which means the traditional way to serve home produced food, very typical on the german culture countryside of the stata. However what you find here differs from the tens others by the delicacy they produce their dishes. I've been there several times. What I can say, it is a very nice place and very good café colonial, you will try a lot of cakes, cheese, breads, pies. Try to have a table nearby the window then you will have a view to...the valley, specially when it's a little bit cold, there will be a little bit foggy

Nice little German tea house in quiet street overlooking valley. Open from till Serving a wide variety of German sweet and savory eats presented as samples in a set menu. Served with coffee and tea (no beer or spirits) by a traditionally dressed...German waitress. Quit formal and very traditional. Keep space for the brilliant dessert trolley to follow. Nice place to eat if in Petropolis

Its a place to enjoy all kinds of sweet and spicy/hearty cakes/pies. To enjoy it to the full extend don't arrive later than Otherwise the waitresses maybe somewhat tired looking

Opa's is a perfect place to go at any time of the year with your partner, family or friends to have an excellent time. The service is great, the place is very charming and the food is fantastic. Don't expect tons of different foods like...in other coffee houses around the area, but what they serve you is enough (and you can keep repeating and repeating) and very well prepared. There is a glass covered porch with tables where you can have your meal enjoying a beautiful view of the mountains. It's a gem
