Come here regularly with our dog and sit in the dog friendly area Our dog is very small and nervous so sits on my partner 's knee. We always ask a staff member and are told it 's not a problem if they are on her knees. One member of staff cam over to us and said she needs to be put on the floor because it 's not very nice for other people to see when eating. We thought Surely if people dont like dogs or want to be around them then they shouldn 't be in the dog friendly area. We were a bit annoyed at this because there was another family with a dog across from us with a dog in their lap and they never got asked to move them. It was like one rule for us and another for someone else. We had other staff members come up to us and give our dog the biggest fuss and again this particular woman was the only one that had a problem with our dog. She wasn 't very dog friendly. Saturday evening, Father and 4 adult kids out for a pint. Walk in, place almost empty but told quite forcefully that 'we are booked up '. Really? We ask. 'Well you can sit over in the far corner if you want '. Cheers, thanks. At that point about 10 other individuals in the place. A party does happen, of around 20 people with kids in another area of the pub, and that 's it. The main area remains all but empty. Soulless, unfriendly and unwelcome. The party of 20 with kids literally trashed the place. If that 's the clientele you covert, you can keep it, you 've just lost 4 customers, all with kids. Oh, and they won 't sell you half a pint of coca cola. Had to be a pint. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
