Bramleys Brasserie At The Orchard

We were one of the first guests arriving, the service was very slow, even after I had realized that one of our groups was in a hurry. we had only sandwiches, there was not much choice for a quick lunch.

Menu unclear on booking, only offered a buffet meal at £25 a head, no children options, food on show looked awful, been here before and this was not great.

Service is polite but not engaged. The party had to find someone to place the order. We had an external VIP guest and they recollected the poor service from a previous occasion. Not what we would expect for the Hotel/Restaurant

We arrived at 7pm and ordered drinks. They didn't have coke, diet coke or apple cider. The beer tap was broken so couldn't have that either. We then ordered and waited an hour for 2 steaks and gnocchi to arrive. There was a largeish party on one table and some sort of cocktail buffet party. They should not have taken our booking as they could not cope. Another table had to ask for their order to be taken after sitting here for 30 minutes. The actual restaurant was not even half full. My son's steak arrived cold so the garlic butter didn't melt. They did give us the meal for free as way of apology. A shame as handy for the hotel.

Everything was sold almost around half 7 which is unacceptable. the food was also forgotten by a budget pub chain, to bring out items and contain extras on the meals
