Actually quite nice, and GREAT sushi, but have experienced coming to a locked door when they should have been up. Recommend calling first. Parking: There is plenty of parking in the center of Notodden, but perhaps not when it is 17 May or similar events. Kid-friendliness: No toys, but the food is served quickly Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner

Ok sushi but no more. Includes tilapia nigiris which which I can’t understand as I don’t like the flavour of raw tilapia one bit.

Some friends and I went to this place out to give it a try. We sat down since we were staying at the local hotel. The place is not really decorated for sit down so if you are looking for romance forget it. I was with two Norwegians and we had a bit of trouble communicating in both English and Norwegian. Pointing seems to work. Their system will not take out of country cards. I tried several that have worked in Norway for years and years but not accepted here. Anyhow the food came. I had some kind of chicken and vegetable curry type sauce over rice. It was dirt cheap. We all commented that the food was really really salty. Maybe too much fish sauce? I am not really sure but I was thirsty all night trying to catch up on the over salt situation. I should mention that the flavor of the dishes were quite good though and fairly spicy, which we really stressed when ordering. One of my friends had the sushi. He didn't say much about it. Norwegian Farmed Salmon is not really my cup of tea being I was a commercial wild salmon fisherman in Alaska in my early years; so I leave the not so natural salmon alone for taste and ethical reasons. We stayed for 3 nights and did not return to this little spot but if I did I would ask for much less salt if I could figure out a way to communicate it.
