Three of us came for dessert after a movie. The site is an old cafe and it's been redone to look like a cosy nook, complete with fireplace and bookshelf nook. The weather outside turned cold and rainy but the fire was not lit and the doors were wide open, leaving us shivering with coats on. There were people sitting outside under the heaters but the open doors left me cold. I mentioned how cold it was and was assured that they would put the AC heater on. Which was ineffective above the wide open folding doors. Our desserts and hot chocolates were very good and tasty. I think that patron comfort should be considered and weather appropriate.
So good to find a restaurant in Norwood serving delicious deserts. We checked St.Louis out after seeing happy faces eating great looking deserts. What an evening ...we discovered another different, interesting place for family to enjoy. The Churros...long,crisp, full of comfort and coated with cinnamon sugar and dunked in melted chocolate tasted so Moorish...so good! Went well with a latte. Checking out the menu we saw chocolate waffles with dulce de leche...next time I'm having one with a salted caramel shake!!
Dropped in here for dessert after a meal further down the Parade.Good range of gourmet ice-creams. The other desserts looked good, but we planned on grabbing an ice-cream to eat on the move.***They do not do take-away - only dine in.***So we had ice-cream and ate at the tables outside.Tasted a few - my favourite was the lemon curd and blueberry - but the Tim-Tam slam and the salted caramel were pretty popular also.
We visited on their opening weekend over Christmas. We only had coffee and found it quite lacking. It was flat, maybe burnt? Anyway, I would not return for their coffee. I guess next time it'll have to be dessert off their menu.
