Alma Tavern - Norwood

Had a night out with family, dinner at the Alma Tavern (Tuesday night) and was impressed by their excellent choices in terms of meals, clever wine selection (all good wines at different price points) and professional waiting staff... not too pricey and quality, good tasting meals... comfortable, cosy and warm atmosphere. My daughter enjoyed her chocolate brownie dessert!

Business lunch went down a treat, super friendly bar manager offered great service, food was good, entrees where good, dips had a few difference options compared to other places, steaks where tender & the wine list was good too, fair prices as well!!!

We returned two years on after extensive travelling. So dropped in for lunch and had the KINKAWOOKA MUSSEL POT - $251kg South Australian black lip mussels sautéed in fresh garlic, mild chilli, Spanishonion & white wine in a tomato & herb rose sauce with shaved parmesan,grilled damper & whipped herb butter. Absolutely delicious. Service is great and efficient. The restaurant is the place to eat. Can get rowdy outside at the main bar during football games and bands. Favourite Adelaide Pub

Four of us came on a Friday night , the food was amazing but the device was the best . We wanted to order some wine and as we were on a bit of a budget decided to order one of the inexpensive bottles , whilst waiting to take our order the waitress heard us discussing the wine and offered for us purchase a deleted line which was not on the wine list , it was really good and only $ 20 a bottle so we had 2

The meals there are superb. You could not walk away saying you were hungry as food was certainly plentiful and delicious. We ate both the counter lunch and in the dining room. Found the prices in both very affordable and the dining area had a very extensive menu. Also great specials. A must if travelling in that area.
