The Mermaids Slipper - Norwich

This was our first visit and wont be our last we live not far away, my only comment was the service was slow and it wasnt busy, but will certainly go again.

Had a lovely meal. The decor was really different. Ceiling to floor mirror which was stunning. Husband thought an arch to another room. Lovely squashy sofas and a roaring Woodburner really cosy. The meal plenty of choice and not the usual ones. Salt cod canapés to start, Scallops, blue cheese pear walnut salad, then dry matured roast beef smoked haddock spinach chestnut mushroom pie followed by citrus fruit ice cream choc brownie with chic sauce. All served by attentive waitresses. Would go back if I am this way again. Like to try evening meal. Parking outside too. Lovely ambience

Wonderful food, welcoming staff and beautiful decor. We had Sunday lunch, just the 2 of us, and it was fabulous. Made very welcome from the minute we walked in til we left. Lovely little touches like canapés as we were seated, delicious bread on the table and homemade chocolates with coffee. Everything was cooked to perfection and plenty of it. I had the roast beef and my husband had the pork chop. Plenty of fresh and varied vegetables too. Pudding were excellent, just difficult to choose between them! Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to go back.

Excellent food, very good service and lovely surroundings. Would definately recommend and will be going again.

Another beautiful meal in the slipper of the mermaid. the roaring fire in the wood burner was the most friendly in such a cold night. Thank you.
