I wasn't sure what to expect when I walked into this hotel, but I was pleasantly surprised. The main lobby features a lounge, a snack area to the left, a breakfast/bar section, and friendly front desk staff. When my boyfriend and I entered the King bed suite, we were truly impressed. The suite consists of three rooms and a spacious balcony. The living room has a modern design with a kitchenette along one wall that includes a sink, mini fridge, microwave, and a Keurig coffee maker. The bedroom is generously sized, furnished with a plush king bed, a dresser with a TV, two nightstands, and a comfortable chair. The sink is conveniently located outside the bathroom, which has a roomy layout. The shower is a walk-in, and the toilet is nearby. The hotel itself is well-maintained, featuring a gym, pool, and an outdoor lounging area complete with a barbecue grill. If you're in Connecticut for the casinos, I highly recommend staying here. It's much more affordable and has upgraded amenities. I will definitely be returning, as I have discovered this hidden gem!

I had a terrible experience at this hotel. The front desk staff were incredibly rude. As Bonvoy Elite members, we've never faced such disrespectful service before. I would strongly advise against staying here. There are numerous other excellent lodging options in Eastern Connecticut that far outshine this establishment. This hotel truly deserves the lowest rating, particularly for its service; if I could give it negative stars, I would.

Overall, this is a lovely hotel. It has been recently updated and features an impressive heated pool. Our room was clean and comfortable. However, the Bistro could use some improvement; the prices are quite high compared to the quality of the food. Additionally, the elevator could benefit from a carpet cleaning, and the hot tub should be operational. The TV was also on the smaller side. I really would have liked to give a higher rating.

I do not recommend this hotel. They assigned me to room 217 which they know to be a problem. It is right over the lobby and all I heard and felt all night was the door slamming and vibrating. I was also charged for breakfast, and as my dad is an Elite Bonvoy member we were supposed to receive a free breakfast. I filed a case and heard nothing for 2 months. I called back twice and finally got an email response—“no compensation will be given”. Unprofessional lack of response and clearly no caring. I cancelled my future reservations. Terrible—I could not sleep it with intermittent banging and vibration.
