Mc Greal's Tavern - Norwell

The host staff were completely miserable and ignorant. We had a reservation and they refused to accommodate one more person. We were seated in the corner of the bar at a high top. There were open/available bar chairs (and tables! the entire time we were there and we were told we could not use. We ordered our drinks, apps and dinner with one person in our party standing the entire time. The manager walked by over a dozen times and never said a word. The waitress (Samantha was very attentive and pleasant. The food was average and the atmosphere was extremely loud. If you’re looking to be surrounded by a bunch of stuck up Norwell nobodies in a boujee environment than this is the place.

Had 2 delicious screwdrivers with the meal. I had the pork belly hash. Potatoes were perfect, pork belly ratio was perfect and cooked perfect. Egg was cooked to specifications of over medium and not overcooked. Ordered a grilled English because that's the only way to have an English and it was perfect too. All around great experience, staff was very friendly. Will be returning.

We went to Cheever for the first time this past Saturday. As someone in a service industry, I am aware of how hard everyone is trying these days and this place just wowed us. Service was out of this world, our glasses remained full, our food came out quickly and our waitress, Sidney, was friendly, professional and informative. The manager came over several times to check on us as well. From the moment we walked through the door we got first class service. The food itself was also amazing and with so many great menu options, it wasn't easy to choose. I have a feeling there was really no bad decision when it came to ordering. The white sangria was one of the best I've had. We couldn't have asked for a better experience at Cheever. I would recommend to anyone looking for a great meal and drinks.

My wife had bolognese, daughter in-law had salmon and I had fish and chips. The food for all three meals were outstanding! Its unusual at any restaurant to have all three people to be very satisfied with their meals. The service was excellent as well. Highly recommend!

This place was DELICIOUS! Went for a work gathering so I can't speak to pricing but the food was amazing, service attentive, drinks good too! 10/10 It wasn't super busy when we went but it was an early dinner on a Thursday, not the weekend. I could see it filling up quickly.
