Appetit Bistro

Very nice selection of dishes and wines; good variety but not overdone. Waitress made it a point to take us to a nice quiet and warm table. Food was good, steak and fish and chicken were all good, escargot very good. Staff quiet friendly and prompt. Recently changed owners and seems that new team trying hard. Plus parking in the Sono lot and then walk thru little passageway) very convenient.

There is new ownership (which we did not know until we arrived). The food was very good, but it's clear that the new management has to fine tune the service. First, we were brought an incorrect bottle of wine. Next, they took away our bread plates before we had had any bread! It's a little concerning that on a Saturday night, 3/4 of the tables were empty, whereas under the former ownership, weekend nights were packed.

First time here but won't be the last! Very friendly service including the bartender. We started out with the fondue which was very good and perfect amount for two. It would be great if there was something fresh i.e. apple chunks to break up the bread, bacon, and potatoes but that's just my personal taste. He had the French onion burger and it was so good! French fries excellent. Loved French bistro decor/vibe. No complaints at all about service, food, ambience or price.

We loved our meals the seafood linguine and a special black sea bass. The atmosphere was dark, a little loud but lively. They also have a quieter room. We would definitely go back.

I ordered the tasting menu so I could have the branzino the way it was prepared rather than the branzino on the regular menu. They brought the wrong one. When I pointed it out the server apologized and said he would bring the correct dish. They brought out some of the ingredients that make up the dish I wanted. Bizarre. By that time my dish was cold and cauliflower was overcooked. The other three in our group enjoyed their meals but we're put off by the pieces of not good baguette put on the table in a small paper bag. Strange. We were the only people in the restaurant so the noise level was good. Oh and the reddiwhip on the chocolate mousse was another disappointment. The server made a couple of mistakes. It's quite unlikely that we will return.
