We were used to the subpar service, so we decided to let those issues slide. When it came time to pay, our total was a little over $60, and we handed over $80 in cash, intending to leave a $5 tip, which we thought was generous given the service we received. To our disbelief, one of the twin sisters questioned us about why the tip was so low, particularly given the total. I couldn’t believe her audacity! Does she not realize that good service is necessary to earn a good tip? I told her that being friendly and asking if we needed anything, especially when it wasn't busy, would go a long way in improving tips. The ironic part is that she wasn't even our designated waitress; we never saw our actual waitress again after she brought the food. It's disheartening to say that we won't be returning, and I will no longer recommend this place. It genuinely saddens me, but they need to reevaluate how they serve their customers. Tipping is earned through kindness and efficiency, not through pressuring guests for cash. This experience was appalling, and the twin sister should be embarrassed. I'm still in shock!
We absolutely love this place and visit regularly. The waitresses are efficient and straightforward; they’re not focused on creating a magical experience, which is exactly what we appreciate. Their priority is to take your order and serve you, returning only when needed. The prices are reasonable, but don’t expect anything extravagant—it’s a no-frills Korean BBQ experience reminiscent of our time in Korea.
This isn’t an all-you-can-eat place; instead, it focuses on serving high-quality cuts. The service was excellent as well, with attentive staff who seemed to know exactly what we needed and maintained a smooth workflow. They might not deliver everything instantly, but they quickly get you taken care of. The restaurant is well-staffed, with plenty of employees ensuring everyone is served, tables are clean, and refills are prompt. Regarding the automatic 18% gratuity for parties of four or more, I think it’s quite fair. Personally, I usually tip 20%, even if the service is merely okay. If the service were genuinely bad, I might consider a 15% tip, but that would require a significant lapse in service. The restaurant also offers ample parking in their shared lot and accepts both cash and credit cards. For dessert, they have a fantastic selection of sweet ice cream sandwich flavors, all of which looked tempting. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. This place feels truly authentic, and I sincerely hope they keep the charming interior just as it is.
If I could, I would give it 4.5 stars! I've been coming to my local Kbbq Square for years! Even during lunch rush, my friend and I are seated quickly. We always order...
I've been visiting near 7 for years, and while the food is excellent, the service has been the most disappointing I've ever encountered. I've given this place numerous chances...
