Always satisfied! I love the Hong Kong-style cafe food here. My personal favorite is the Hong Kong-style pork chop with rice. The food is delicious and offers great value. This is our family's favorite spot for tasty Cantonese cuisine.
We ordered the Clams in Black Bean Sauce, Hot and Spicy Beef with Vermicelli Hot Pot, and Tiger Prawns Fried Rice in Lotus Leaf. The clams were surprisingly large and meaty, though the sauce could have been better. The Hot and Spicy Beef hot pot featured tender slices of beef with vermicelli noodles and peppers, served on an elevated pot heated by blue rocks. The Tiger Prawns Fried Rice was well-prepared, steamed inside a lotus leaf to enhance its fragrance without compromising the taste. The rice was slightly too soft for my preference, but the dish had a delightful garlicky flavor, complemented by the jumbo shrimp. The service at Tasty Delight was exceptional. Unlike the typical lackluster service at Cantonese restaurants, our server was very friendly and outgoing, constantly cracking jokes and reminding me of my mother. I highly recommend giving this place a try, as they offer a wide selection of delicious dishes to choose from.
Tasty Delight, formerly Leslie Cafe, is the closest Hong Kong style cafe to The Fiance and I. Last Friday, we decided to drop by for a homey dinner after a week of being under the weather. First, we spent 5 minutes looking for Leslie Cafe, before realizing there had been a name change. The restaurant itself looked renovated and clean with wooden chairs and cheery yellow walls. Tables turned over quickly and we didn’t have to wait for a table. I noticed fewer families and more couples/single diners that night.
