Street Kitchen By Basil Box

We tried the Sambal Fried Rice Garlic Rice Silog, both with Tofu. The food was very delicious, but the part was small (can be better for lunch). Also recommend getting an appetizer.

Disappointing! We got double fried chicken over fries but got it over rice. The rice was soggy and mushy. The shrimp fried rice was looking like it was sitting in the box for a long time (first look), it was flavourless except for spice, the rice was very mushy and soggy, it was 2 very disappointing meals. It was also a super long wait for them to make that and started getting busy after we ordered because they took too long to prepare it. Also the person that took our order came up to us and said he didn?t know if we wanted take out or not but regardless he just needs to put the food in the box and said oh your food is already ready but I just didn?t know if you wanted to eat here or take out but then he took so long just to pack it, not sure why? Anyways we would not eat here again, I really enjoyed when basil box was here and the options were much better. I also found that it was over priced for poor quality. I also don?t even know if the employee charged the right price, bc I got a value meal and he def charged more but I didn?t want to bother because he already seemed like he wasn?t even sure when he was entering our order.

It was my first visit here and it was surprisingly good. It is a street food from Vietnam, Thailand and other countries. Portions are ok, I enjoy the flavours. You could dine-in at the tables inside (not too many) or on the street patio. Prices a little bit pricey, but by the area where is located is average.

Tried out the new revamped basil box offering Asian street food and so satisfying! They offer a lot of fusion eats with categories of baos, Mac cheese, and poutines. Had the double fried chicken bao, the banh mi fries and the malaysian braised beef Mac cheese. The fried chicken was nice and crispy, juicy on the inside and just so nice with the soft fluffy bao! The braised beef was tender and soft and with every bite of Mac, it was just a perfect flavour combo The banh mi fries had nice crispy fries with the fresh ingredients you would find in a banh mi and making it into a poutine by adding cheese curds. How they managed to blend all these flavours in is beyond me! So good! The staff working here were amazing too! Lots of suggestions and recommendations and super nice about everything!
