The cost does not justify the experience. One of the employees failed to wear a mask while handling food.
I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The bao was small and dry, and the noodles were not fresh. The overall flavor was lacking. The only redeeming quality was the tea, as it was the most interesting part of the meal.
We decided to grab a bite to eat in Korean Town and stumbled upon this small food court. Inside, there are 3-4 restaurants with limited seating. It seems more geared towards takeout, but we opted to dine in. We ordered a combo which included 2 baos, a noodle side dish, and a drink. Our food was served in a cute takeout bag, even though we were dining in. The baos were wrapped in a unique newspaper-like wrapper, giving off a retro vibe. The food, which I believe is northern style Chinese, was delicious. I would recommend this spot for anyone looking for a quick bite or takeout in the area.
I was excited to try out this restaurant, but my enthusiasm quickly waned when I discovered that all the meat and bao fillings were premade, giving me flashbacks to my school cafeteria days. I ordered the six bao house special with duck, cumin lamb, and Thai sweet chili pulled pork. The bao itself was soft and fluffy, but I prefer a slightly sweeter bao, so I was a bit let down. The pulled pork was dry, but the duck was juicy and the cumin lamb was alright. The service was good, with the staff being patient as we decided what to order. Our baos were ready in just 10 minutes, even though we visited on a busy Friday night at 8 pm.
