Harbourside Cafe - North Vancouver

I stopped by this restaurant for lunch while running errands in North Vancouver. After reading a positive review, I decided to give it a try. The special of the day was Chicken Souvlaki. It was a self-serve setup, so I waited for my meal. The staff were polite, but not overly friendly. When my order arrived, I found the chicken to be dry, the Greek salad to be small, and the pita bread to be tiny. The price was around $11.99 or $12.99. I was disappointed with the overall experience and would not come back for lunch.

This restaurant is amazing and definitely worth a visit. It's conveniently located and easily accessible by car or public transportation. The staff is also very friendly.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant when I asked for a plainer sandwich and they only partially fulfilled my request. I paid for a sandwich that I couldn't eat and didn't have time to get another one. Additionally, they used plastic cheese instead of cheddar as promised, which was an unwelcome surprise. If they didn't want to fulfill my request, they should have just said no. On the bright side, the server was pleasant.

When a customer has a special request for a plainer sandwich than you offer, don't go half a*sed and omit only most of what I asked. Omit it ALL. Because I've now paid for a sandwich that I can't eat and don't have time to get another.And don't use "plastic" cheese when you promise cheddar. An extra unwelcome kick to the tastebuds. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO FULFILL MY FUSSY ORDER (yes I admit I am fussy, but I'm allowed to be when i'm paying for it) THEN JUST SAY NO.(Pleasant server though)

We are frequent visitors to this establishment which provides very good fare at very reasonable prices. The soups, recently, have been most excellent and I have been very impressed both by the Wicked Thai and Mediterranean Chicken. There are also weekly specials and the souvlaki is great. This is one of four eateries in the Harbourside area, all of which are focussed strongly on the lunch trade and is, by far, the most reasonable on the wallet.
