New Horizon Chinese Take Away

We used to be regular customers at this restaurant, but our recent experiences have been very disappointing. A few weeks ago, we had a meal that wasn't great, but we chalked it up to just having a bad day. However, when we returned today, the food was awful. We ordered chicken fried rice and egg fried rice, both of which had very sticky rice and hardly any chicken in the chicken fried rice. None of us could even finish a quarter of our meals before giving up. It seems like there may have been a change in ownership or chef, as the serving staff is different and they no longer accept card payments. After two bad meals in a row, we are unlikely to return to this restaurant.

Over 30 min late on delivery and they try to say its because they are busy. So why not say at point of order and offer a later delivery time! Had to keep calling to chase delivery. Food turned up look warm and boring. Service was terrible.This place used to be good when ran by previous staff but now I would go elsewhere as there is much better out there.

Ordered food, as usual like pulling teeth speaking to the front of house girl... told It would be 45 mins; arrived 1 hour and 20 Minutes later stone cold. Told them to come and collect it. Which they did with full refund... not like you New Horizon!!!

Ordered a family meal as our local Cramlington Chinese is closed. We ordered a shrimp and mushroom curry which was more of a thin soup. The fried rice was mahogany due to over cooking and would have choked a small child, luckily the watery curry sauce added a lot of moisture not flavour but saved a trip to A&E. The Singapore noodles were equally substandard and the rest was just edible. I was hoping for great things. I didn’t get it. Oh well....still alive.

I recently tried the noodles at this restaurant after a friend recommended it to me, and I must say they were the best noodles I have ever tasted. Each dish we ordered was better than the last, but the standout was definitely the noodle in chili garlic sauce - it was absolutely stunning. I will definitely be craving these noodles for a long time to come!
