Top Mast Cafe - North Truro

We go to the Top Mast when we stay in the area. Delicious breakfasts, the Portuguese scramble is terrific. Last night we went for dinner. There was a bus of diners, we decided to sit outside. They were short staffed, and running around like mad. Tony seated us. Even though having a staffing setback he was the ultimate professional, he took our order with a smile, in fact everyone that was working Friday night was smiling and pleasant despite their situation. Thank you all for an outstanding experience! See you next year.

Had a nice breakfast here. We sat in the corner near an air vent that mercifully drowned out the dreadful music. If you're ok with infinite-loop oldies, the food and service were quite good.

By the time our meal arrived, two of us had empty drinks and no one checked to see if we wanted refills, even though our glasses were clearly empty at the edge of the table. I finally managed to ask for water, but it never arrived until I asked again. During the meal, my son was eating when he was asked if he wanted a box for leftovers, but we were never asked if we wanted dessert. After finishing our meal, the bill was brought out, but it took a long time for someone to come back and collect our payment. On the bright side, the food was incredible; my son declared it to be the best burger he’s ever had. It’s a shame the service wasn’t up to par, especially with only four other tables occupied.

This is a wonderful spot for breakfast, offering a diverse menu that caters to all tastes. There's a great amount of outdoor seating available. Throughout our meal, all four of the servers came by to check if everything was satisfactory or if we needed more coffee. This level of attention is something I've rarely experienced and made us feel truly valued. I highly recommend this place!

The food is amazing, and they offer dairy-free vegan options. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with vegan cheese (I know, but those of you who are lactose intolerant understand). It was one of the most delicious burgers I've had in quite a while. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but definitely worth it! Don’t forget to bring some quarters to feed the fish!
