Banwell Garden Centre Coffee Shop

Anyone who has watched the comedy series Ted Lasso will be familiar with his description of a particular hot drink as brown sadness water . I presume the write came up with this after ordering an Americano here. Utterly tasteless brown water.

Having heard great things about this little cafe in a local garden centre hubby and I thought we’d try it, as we’d never heard of it. I were greeted by a young lady at the entrance who in turn give me two menus. We found a table and started looking at the menu, an older lady approached us and asked if we were ready to order, I in turn said oh is it table service as I was expecting to order at the counter. Her stern response was ITS always been table service, when I explained that we’d never been there before , there was no response!! Then I asked if the tea came in a pot as sometimes you get a teabag in a mug she did answer in a pot, but as she picked up our menus she rolled her eyes to the top of her head!! I must be honest when the food came you couldn’t fault it. When I went to pay the cakes etc looked very good. But sadly I won’t be returning to this cafe. But having said that I would recommend it, just don’t get the stern waitress :

WoW! What a delightful place to eat, and their breakfasts are 'The Best '!! with great value, made to order, generous portions and all served so nicely; spotlessly clean everywhere; just PERFECT! Take a bow please. Can 't wait to come again. PS. My wife has been coming here from 'Locking Castle ladies b 'fast ' meets and has been singing your praise! The garden centre is blooming good too! 5*

Absolutely amazing, what a little gem! Great food, really good value for money, and the staff were superb, super friendly. No issues making my breakfast vegan friendly, and just a wonderful little place! Strongly advise booking, we heard 4 bookings being turned away as the cafe was already full!!

This restaurant always excels, good service, good value and great food. Busy on a Monday in March but found a table for us straight away. Keep it up
