On a nice day the prime seats are out on the patio, but there was no organized list of priority kept by one person. They did not plan well to accommodate a large anniversary party and the other tables as well. Everything was a long wait, including the serve yourself water which was allowed to run out. Mushroom pizza very good, harvest salad good but small, server was able to recommend wine based on our preferences. Live music excellent.
Exceptional menu and so unexpected. We had planned to stop at the vineyard but the restaurant was a great surprise. Had the salmon sampler which had dry smoked and wet smoked salmon set up on a lovely platter with all kinds of garnishes. This was great. Also had the seafood chowder. Unfortunately on a tight schedule or we would have lingered on the patio. Great stop.
When we first started going to Jost Vineyard there was no place to eat. The Seagrape Cafe is a great addition, but, I ordered the lobster sliders. Mostly bread and lettuce, very little lobster salad. If you want lobster go to a local restaurant and order a lobster roll at the same price. We will definitely go back but not for the lobster sliders.
Provided you have time, it doesn't really make sense to visit the Jost winery and not grab a bite to eat to really enjoy the experience. The food is excellent quality and very tasty. The menu is a little lighter in the shoulder seasons, so to if you want to experience a better selection, go in the summer months. There is plenty of outdoor seating with a smaller amount of indoor seating. Outdoor seating is preferred as to enjoy the surrounding views, but obviously the weather needs to cooperative... just beautiful!
We had a wonderful lunch on the patio with amazing Lobster rolls & lovely wine. The staff were very friendly & service was excellent
