The Rocks Pantry - NORTH ROCKS

Nice cafe that has some good selection of food. Service is ok but could be better. The chicken Caesar salad is very nice and the coffee is good . Price is reasonable but not the cheapest. They changed hands as cafe used to becalmed little Rock cafe and they were amazing . Not as good now though. They should lift their game a bit and be more customer focused. The old owner there , an older gentleman can seen sometimes wondering around in the cafe never smiling and not customer focused . Once they were closing and asked if they were still open , and he uninterestingly and in unfriendly manner said done for the day and walked off ... not a very good impression !!

We used to eat here a lot when it was called Little Rock and never had a bad experience. We don't shop at North Rocks too much anymore and today was our first time in a long while. Wanting a hot drink and a snack when we were done, we decided to head here, as we'd always had good food and service when it was Little Rock. What a mistake that was.We did find a lovely table in the sun, outside, close to a heater. So position-wise, it was good. We were served pretty promptly, but that's where it went downhill. We ordered banana bread, raisin toast and two hot chocolates. Raisin toast was delivered by a vague waiter who just dumped the plate on the table without a word, after trying (and failing to deliver it to a couple of other tables). The banana bread was delivered separately by a different member of staff and she was quite pleasant and brought a serviette and knife with it.The hot chocolates eventually turned up when we were ready to leave. This was after a few false starts - first a waiter wandered around with a cappuccino and a large hot chocolate in a takeaway cup and tried various tables to get rid of it, before coming to us. We said no, we'd ordered two hot chocolates and he wandered off again. He then returned with just the hot chocolate in the takeaway cup (this was after he'd been wandering around with it for several minutes and it clearly would have been cold by now, not to mention being served in a takeaway cup). We asked him to take it away and bring us what we had actually ordered. We waited some more and were just getting ready to leave when the two hot chocolates finally turned up, in proper mugs with saucers. There was a bit of an apology but they'd had their last chance as far as we were concerned. We won't be back.I've never eaten anywhere where the wait staff seem to have no idea what they are doing. I just kept seeing people wandering around with trays of drinks and not seeming to know where they were supposed to be delivered to. I recommend this place lifts their game a bit and train their staff properly. There are plenty of cafes around with better service, after all.

Probably the best sit down food available at North Rocks. Great choice in their menu at really good prices.

I had lunch here with my partner on Monday. I really enjoyed my chicken schnitzel wrap and coffee. Service was fast and friendly. It wasn't overwhelmingly good but also no complaints. We will most probably be back!

Visited with work colleagues for lunch. Great quick and friendly service. I had the penne pasta with chorizo and prawns. It was beautiful. Nice portion size, perfectly light for lunch. Would visit again.
