It seems like they’re struggling to stay afloat, which is a shame because it’s a historic building that looks like a charming little bar. I know my neighbors well; I often hear them heading home at night, and we exchange waves or nods of recognition. They all seem to have a great time, often laughing and chatting together. Personally, I don’t have any issues with the bar; I’m not a drinker and I don’t particularly enjoy alcohol. My father was a teetotaler who raised us to steer clear of it, and my husband’s father struggled with alcoholism, so both of us choose to either abstain or have a drink at home. I don’t have anything against this place—I actually hope it thrives. I just don’t feel the need to go to a bar myself. I genuinely wish that the patrons who do visit find what they’re looking for and have a good time. I believe this bar deserves more business than the nearby Bullfrog Café. If N. Ridgeville continues to develop, hopefully more people will start to frequent it. It does have a small parking lot, which caters to the neighborhood vibe, making it a cozy spot to unwind before heading home.
This place used to be the biggest dive site in the world, and it's wonderfully transformed now. It retains an amazing diving atmosphere while being an ideal spot for a bar. It's truly a hidden gem. Give it another try!
This is an excellent spot for enjoying drinks and socializing! The atmosphere is filled with wonderful people, and the owner is fantastic! It’s a place where you can unwind and find peace of mind.
Give it 5 stars for the best place to hang with criminals and bacteria at the same time. If you want to get sick, I recommend going to this place to block it.
This place has so much history. Its 200 yrs old this yr. Love the atmosphere.
