Whole Hog Cafe North Little Rock

I absolutely love Whole Hog. Their food is incredible; I find it hard to enjoy any other barbecue. I typically order the pulled pork plate, and it never lets me down.

I appreciated the 10% military discount offered on Mondays with ID. The service was courteous and prompt. I ordered the beef brisket nachos, which came with melted cheese and brisket, along with a side of sour cream. I was hoping for a bit more variety, perhaps some lettuce, tomato, or salsa. I also added two bone-in ribs, which were flavorful with a good dry rub. However, I do wish they had better side options. By "better," I mean options like okra and either French fries or onion rings.

We've been visiting Whole Hog for years! My boyfriend is a BBQ enthusiast, and when he says something is great, you can believe it! We love their sauce so much that we keep some at home to use on all sorts of dishes. Their pulled pork and ribs are outstanding. The atmosphere is cozy and nicely decorated with pigs everywhere! The staff is friendly and attentive. We'll definitely keep coming back! Whether it's a weeknight or a Saturday afternoon, we always feel at home here.

AWESOME BBQ PLACE!!!. We found this restaurant on Urbanspoon while traveling through central Arkansas last weekend and sure are glad we did! I had the 'Whole Hog Platter ' (a sampler with sliced brisket, pulled pork, a few ribs, cole slaw, baked beans and potato salad) and my wife had a BBQ pulled pork potato with all the fixins and a slice of pecan pie. Everything was awesome, the meat, taken right from their kitchen line, could have easily won a BBQ competition, the beans and slaw were great and the potato salad they make is incredible, and I don 't even like potato salad! They also have 6 types of BBQ sauce on the table! Whether you like sweet tomato style, spicy tomato vinegar, smokey molasses or even Carolina style mustard vinegar sauce, they 've got you covered. They even had a full lineup of imported and domestic beers on hand. The staff and bussers were fast and cheery, and the restaurant was clean, upscale and decorated with literally dozens of trophies from local and national BBQ competitions and a large flat screen TV, all while classic blues music hummed along in the background. All in all an excellent BBQ joint. On a scale of 1 to 10 I 'll have to give Whole Hog Cafe in North Little Rock Arkansas a solid 12.

This is one of those places where you will see the franchise owner pretty well every day at lunch. He's not micro managing but just a great business owner. The food is always great, but great ownership/management impresses me more. It's very rare you see this type of management without great food.
