Awesome selection of seafood,great servings,love the atmosphere

I used to stay at the Texas station quite a bit, and the place I would eat at quite a bit is this place. And, I’ve only ever had one thing, so keep that in mind with my five star rating. That one thing is the seafood gumbo. It is very good. And, the service has typically been very good. In fact, just writing this review is making me hungry for that gumbo right now. It’s too bad I’m nowhere near the place.

I highly recommend ordering the pan roast with one side of rice and another with pasta. The signature brandy creamy tomato sauce is absolutely delicious; it was so good that we ended up getting an extra order to go, and we used all the sauce for dipping our bread. The portions here are quite generous, with plenty of both pasta and seafood in every dish. I opted for the fra diavolo, and it was fantastic. The prawns were large, and the tomato sauce was perfectly balanced. The oysters were incredibly fresh, so if you're a fan, definitely give them a try. However, the seafood pastas are the real standout dishes here. My family and I had a great time enjoying our meal, but I have to deduct a star because it took a long time for our entrees to arrive. Our server was wonderful, but the wait for the food was quite lengthy.

The food was absolutely fantastic! The house Étouffée was incredible, and the calamari was perfect! The prices are incredibly reasonable. I’ll definitely be coming back regularly. Pete, the chef, really knows his stuff!

I arrived around 4 PM on a Thursday and found there was no wait at all. I intended to order food to go, but I discovered they don’t serve charbroiled oysters to take out. So, I decided to enjoy a half dozen oysters at the bar and ordered my Pan Roast and Gumbo for takeout. Everything came out quickly. The oysters were absolutely incredible—I can't stop thinking about them! The Pan Roast was fantastic as well. However, the gumbo was a bit disappointing; it didn’t taste like any gumbo I’m familiar with. The portion sizes were generous, enough for two people to share. Overall, I’m really pleased that I chose this “Station” Oyster bar for my visit.
