Onesti's Fast Foods - North Lanarkshire

Visited very briefly at lunchtime. Did not buy anything due to the rudeness of one of the two women working there. Asked for a pizza and chips combination thing that was sitting already prepared and snapped at by the woman stating that there were three pizza options. Without telling me what they were I said I would take whatever was nearest. I’d never seen a “pizza crunch” before but it looked horrible and said I didn’t want that one to which I was met with a huffy retort of “well that’s why I asked you want you wanted”. A list of what you do have instead of “pizza and chips” might help your customers then. The shop was swarming with school kids but I am in my 40’s and certainly won’t be spoken to in such a curt and nasty manner which they may be possibly used to using with their younger clientele that won’t tell them where to go in response due to naivety and lack of experience. Walked out without purchasing anything, which I’m glad about as the food looked pretty disgusting.

A very good take away, they do not scrimp on the portions and are always very friendly, no favorite suppers they are all good.

The fish and chips served at this restaurant are excellent. It is some of the best fish I have ever had from a traditional British fish and chip shop, and I have tried quite a few. Each portion includes 2 whole fish, making for a hearty and satisfying meal.

It was a Friday and we didn't feel like cooking, so we remembered we had been to Onesti's a while back. We jumped in the car and headed over. The place was busy with people picking up takeout orders, but the dining area was also pretty full. We ordered two mini fish and chips meals, each with freshly cooked crispy chips, a medium-sized crispy and fresh fish, two slices of buttered bread, and two cups of tea. Everything was served quickly by a friendly waitress, all for the grand total of $11.20. The restaurant was clean and uncluttered, and the toilets were also clean and basic. I would recommend this place for a quick snack or meal at a very reasonable price.
