I don 't write bad reviews, it 's just not my style. I think the tenderloin is huge and if that 's what your looking for get to this place pronto. Maybe don 't go for the tenderloin flavor or the fried pickles. Highlights: the wings were great, juicy, flavorful, deliciousness. The twisted battered fries, whoa, paired with the ranch and I felt like I could exist on them, exclusively, yet I didn 't finish them because I was too busy raving and sharing them around the table. There 's not a lot of ambiance but I gather people don 't come here for that. Also, it 's described as a dive bar so you can 't really expect swank. People come for drink specials and the tenderloin that comes with a meme of the blonde guy staring in bewilderment. UGE. The server immediately offered us a margarita happy hour special, sat down a few minutes before it was over, a few of us obliged and they promptly returned on the hour to tell us happy hour was over, per the bartender. My disappointment was as understated as an oversized tenderloin. The pickles came about 10 to a basket and the flavor of the oil was pronounced. The bottom line, dad came in from out of town and found this joint on a FB page created just for the pursuit of pork tenderloins and he loved it. That says a lot. Bring a friend, you 'll need them to help you finish this Texas sized tenderloin!
The main dishes offer a variety of options, including hamburgers, taco salad, wings, nachos, and more, along with plenty of salad choices. However, the highlight is undoubtedly the pork tenderloin; it's enormous—truly gigantic! The menu even mentions a complimentary to-go container due to its size, which is akin to a large dinner plate. Despite being classic bar fare, the food is quite tasty. I enjoyed a beer-battered po boy that was delicious, and the beer-battered fries were equally satisfying. You definitely won't leave this restaurant hungry. The service was excellent, with our server being both professional and attentive, enhancing our dining experience. Other staff members also appeared efficient and knowledgeable in their work. Accessing the restaurant was straightforward, and we were quickly seated. It was clear that many regulars felt right at home, which added to the welcoming atmosphere. Although we aren’t frequent visitors, we felt just as comfortable as those who were. Everything in this restaurant has a casual vibe—nothing overly fancy. The decor is themed around firefighting, featuring some intriguing collectible items scattered throughout the space. It was enjoyable to explore the eclectic assortment, and the artifacts alone deserve high praise.
They don’t have a drink menu or any specials, but most drinks are reasonably priced between $3 and $4. We ordered the fried mushrooms, which arrived quickly and were absolutely delicious—definitely something I’d order again. We also got the tenderloin and added an extra bun. The sandwiches are massive! They had a great crunchy coating while still being juicy and not at all dry. I chose the beer-battered fries as a side, and they were tasty as well. Despite the busy and loud environment, the service was excellent. I was genuinely impressed that our waitress could even hear our order amidst all the noise. Overall, it was a fun and satisfying visit!
