The Countryman

Today we had a lunch of haddock, chips, and mushy peas at the bar with our friends and their dog. The fish was fresh, the batter was light, and the homemade chips were delicious with generous portions. The cask conditioned beer was excellent and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The pricing was reasonable and overall, this is the best pub dining we've experienced in the area.

I had a great experience at this restaurant for Sunday lunch. I appreciated being able to choose my portion size. The staff, particularly Jenny, were friendly and helpful, making me feel very welcome.

The countryman is a warm, friendly place. Eating is reasonable and we enjoyed our Sunday dinner. chocolate cake was beautiful. Why did I give only four stars? could do with lightening. the decoration is dated, but mine is too home, so it is a fall of pot that calls the boiler black. I'm sorry. However, it would be nice to see a brighter inviting environment, because I think the old style lets us this beautiful pub down and so the coach house get more customers. such a whisper of pastel and your young!

We were a few times and that's great. freshly cooked, hot and generous portions and delicious with something for everyone. Very good. anf nice friendly staff. Thank you.

For our monthly ms lunch club. all ready when we arrived. the employees don't have enough for us. the personal has full marks. eat very well and fill. chair friendly. a visit. x
