Relish And Kitchen

Not going to lie, i only gave 2 stars because of the Christmas decor and ambiance. I have never eaten in here before and its safe to say i shall not be returning . The bread for dipping was stale. I had scallops to start which were the size of peas and flavourless. We then waited an hour for our main, (i chose the pork) which was all cold when i eventually got it. The man serving said they were a chef down (no excuse for cold food) and didn’t charge me. All in all, a Christmas night out ruined.

I've had the pleasure of dining here twice in one week! Food was excellent! It has such a lovely feel to it! Christmas music playing and decorated beautifully! Just what's needed in these uncertain times! Enjoyed it so much we've called in for drinks too! Very welcoming/friendly staff. Merry Christmas to you all

Visited Relish on tue 14th Dec for my eldest daughters birthday surprise tea,upon arrival we were greeted by lovely staff showed to our table,upon entering the premises you can't but see how clean tidy the venue is,we pre ordered our food online..most of us had two courses main pudding or starter main..may I take this opportunity to say that all the food on all the courses were outstanding i kid you not,the relish burger was awesome mega big,Xmas Dinner was massive,as was the steak,sea bass was also a big hit, one thing we all agreed on is the chips which are served here are just awesome,no other description needed..special mention goes to the chef for outstanding food the bar staff specially the table waitresses such a happy go lucky person...so if you want good food, reasonable prices, and warm friendly staff then this place is a must 5/5 Definitely...

Had our annual Christmas night/meal out last night at relish bar. We booked our table and paid £5 per person deposit which equates to £70 and requested one be gluten free which they said they could do. Our table was booked for 8:30pm which when arrived still had the booking prior to ours still on the table we had booked which was not an issue as we didn’t mind waiting for them to finish there drinks whilst we waited at the bar. We ended up being put at a different table as the people still on ours did not want to leave, the table we was put on did not accommodate all our party however we was given extra chairs at the table and we had to figure it out ourselves. After being sat there an hour we finally was served our starter of olives, stale bread and oil. We then went on to wait another hour for our mains of cheese and meat sharing boards nothing ordered need cooking. On speaking to the waiting staff about how much longer it would be she politely said it still hasn’t been prepared and apologised, we reminded her of the gluten free we requested for one which we was then advised they don’t have any gluten free option available! As we had waited so long we said we wish to cancel as was not happy with the service received. The manager did not once come to speak with us and left it to the poor girl who had been serving us to tell us that the manager will not refund our deposit and we had to pay for the dismal starters of £25 also even though they had already received £70. The only reason I am giving this restaurant a 1 star review is because i can not give it a zero. We will not be going to dine here in the future and advise others to stay clear.

Visited Relish for birthday meal service was ok but beware check your bill because we were never offered a second round of drinks which we would have had , but on our bill we were deliberately charged for a second round of drinks which is dishonest and will never return, not even given satisfactory apology
