Brenda's Chippie

We are working in the area and I’ve tried several chip shops but have to say Brendas chippy is about the best!

Fish was so thin and tasteless I would put it in envelope and post it back to where it came from, Fish fingers grey inside, Tables not being cleaned after each seating. Now I know why people were sat on the beach front floor with...Papas boxes. Disappointing

Staff were very helpful and read the ingredients for their batter so we could check. Yummy fish and chips for family with egg and dairy allergies.

We had fish and chips. The fish was so white and soft it was really tasty and the chips were the best we’ve had in a while. The arrangement for social distancing was good, they had a hatch in the side or you could go...in if you have a mask. They were really friendly and was served really quickly. The only downside was the tables outside were too close to each other. I would say remove some tables so it doesn’t attract too many people. I felt a bit stressed sitting there being so close to others. We had been to Papas on a previous trip and hadn’t thought much about the food. It was too overly busy to go on this occasion and I’m glad we went to Brenda’s instead!

Credit due to the girl taking orders an cooking and doing everything, I waited minutes to be served the two men/boys working with her constantly on there phones in and outside never washed there hands and then handling food hygiene and customer service disgusting....When I received my fish I then had to take it back as it was black and smelt. Will never be returning there was a few unhappy people today I'd recommend going anywhere else!!
