Prices are very reasonable when considering Lynton is a Tourists Honey Trap. Could be even better if they served food, whilst we were in there in excess of 9 people came in and asked if food was being served. Nevertheless despite not serving food is good for a Pint or Two.
Nipped in for a quick pint while holidaying in Lynton over Easter. Pub was empty just before dinner time on a Wednesday except for a local at the bar. Landlady wasn't particularly welcoming and moaned about the cost of me paying by contactless. Pub is pretty run down and needs either a steam cleaning or a refurb. No chef currently but I wouldn't risk eating there if there was. Pint of Tribute was cloudy and full of floaters. Avoid.
Came here for a pint, lovely winter atmosphere. There was no chef so they didn't serve food on this occasion. Could do with a better selection of lagers but nevertheless still a good variety of ales. Would come again!
Men’s toilet was poor, seat loose, flush faulty, no toilet brush, cheap toilet paper. No hand towels. Had two cask ales, tasted nice but didn’t hold the head due to glass issues, they either need replacing, refreshing or check the dishwasher rinse is doing it’s job. On the plus side good service and clean.
Called in every night whilst on holiday. Not disappointed. I’d recommend the drought beer Exmoor) which was just as good bottled. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Reasonable prices. Pool in the rear popular with the locals, and music too. Didn’t appreciate it when the tv was tuned on loudly as well! What’s the thinking in that!
