North Gate Inn - North Devon

Amazing breakfast, since years here. will not go anywhere else!

The dining experience at this restaurant was excellent. We ordered the carvery and the fish and chips, both of which were delicious. The carvery included a generous portion of meat and plenty of vegetables. The apple crumble for dessert was perfect. The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, we were satisfied and very full after our meal.

We thought here was a late breakfast on a Sunday in september. the parking space can be reached directly from a circular traffic on the a361, so it is easy to find. the restaurant is a decent size. there are tables for two, four or more. the service is on the table. when we were there, the place was about a third occupied and the service was pretty fast. the breakfast we chose was very good. we also had the tassen filtered coffee, which were a really big taste and very favorable. we also got toast and jams that were given to everyone table. we wanted to be dead, but if you don't, it's worth saying as I think we were charged for it. the employees provide a good job and the service was very efficient. customer toilets are available and the whole space is fully accessible. very good standard in our experience.

We have dined at the Northgate twice in the last 2 weeks. The meals were excellent on both occasions, served piping hot with generous portions. The staff were friendly and attentive. Covid safety measures were in place, with staff wearing masks or visors and hand sanitizer available at the entrance and in the restrooms. We have already made a reservation for next week.

This is the place to stop not only if you are on your way to holiday but as a local like us. Cannot remember when I have seen such value, the portions are not small. The food is good and wholesome. You give this place five stars for that alone. We have been using this place for a long time, not that regular but we have had breakfasts and dinner all brilliant. We were tourist when we found the place and I think that was some ten years back. In all the time we have used it the team have always been warm, welcoming and helpful. A high standards of customer service with an eye for detail. Thanks
