Monty's Caribbean Kitchen - North Devon

There is no mistaking this place. As diners sit by the window with the sun streaming in, they can easily imagine themselves in the Caribbean, rather than at Barnstaple Viehmarkt. The decor, friendly staff, music, and delicious food all contribute to the Caribbean vibe. It's the best place to eat in Barnstaple.

The food at this restaurant was amazing. We tried the jerk pork and the ackee and salt fish, both of which were incredibly delicious. The atmosphere was beautiful. I can honestly say that last night's meal was the best food I have had during my four years living in Devon. Don't forget to try their rum punch as well.

I went to this restaurant for lunch yesterday and it was amazing. The food was great and the atmosphere was so relaxed. Monty and his team made us feel really welcome and the service was fantastic. I wish I could eat here all the time, it's just excellent. You have to try the plantains and the lunch special, the Jerk Chicken burrito. It's unbelievable! I can't stop thinking about it, even considering coming back for dinner. I am slowly working my way through the menu because everything is really great. They also have a good selection of vegan and vegetarian options in addition to meat dishes. If you enjoy Caribbean food or have never tried it before, this place is a must for a delicious meal!

Omg! wow went to lunch today with my friend, eating was absolutely incredible I will go so far to say that it was the best food I ever eat in barnstaple, we will surely be back! also the customer service was perfectly a young girl with blond hair with our server absolutely beautiful young lady!

I can honestly say this is the best Caribbean food I have ever eaten. Authentic taste, really great staff, smiles everywhere and again.....the food is outstanding. If you know and like real authentic Caribbean food you will absolutely love this place! 10/10 easy!
