Papa John's Pizza - North Chesterfield

The best pizza I’ve ever had! A few weeks ago, my dad and I visited this place as I’ve been searching for authentic NY-style pizza, and wow, this is the real deal! The crust was thin and crispy, topped with just the right amount of sauce and toppings. Everything tasted amazing! The dining area is small and not fancy, and it seems that most of their business is takeout; in fact, there weren't any other customers dining in when we visited on a weeknight. Plenty of takeout orders were going out the door, though. I definitely plan to return and try some of their Italian menu items!

I would rate the pizza at three stars and the wings at one star. The pizza was just average—acceptable for the price, but honestly, it’s not worth it when there are two better pizza places just a short distance away. I placed my order about an hour before closing, which may not have been the best decision. The wings really brought my overall rating down to two stars; they were somewhat dry and tough, and the buffalo sauce appeared to have separated. I suspect they were fried earlier in the day and had been kept warm under a heat lamp until I ordered. It seemed like they might have turned off the fryer to start winding down for the night. I managed to eat three or four wings before deciding to throw the rest away.

The pizza was fantastic! However, the garlic knots were quite disappointing. They were deep-fried rather than baked, which was misleading. They were overly greasy, and the bread was tough. Since I can't eat fried food, I felt it was a complete waste of money.

The food is great we love it. We ordered at 632 by way of grub hub. Some random guy claiming to be the driver picked it up and rip us off. But the really cool part is this awesome business reached out to us when they saw the same order for the same people an hour and a half apart. They apologized for something that wasn't their fault and tried to make it right. Cabrera's official became the only place this family will order pizza and subs from today.

I have tried so many different pizzas places around Richmond and this is by far the best pizza I?ve found. Their pricing is so reasonable. We?ve had family visit from the North and South and they all loved it too. Also their desserts cannot be turned down. They are heavenly!
