Oh boy, a local gem! I'd seen the Afghan Kabob and Grill many times when I went to the grocery store, but only today did it occur to me to make a special trip to try it; and I am glad I did. It's unpretentious, the staff are friendly and welcoming, and WOW is the food good excellent, in fact. I had the Chicken Tikka Salad and a Diet Coke, as did one friend, and our other friend had a Lamb Kabob with rice and salad. The portions were generous and the price was fair. With a 20% tip, I paid only $15.98 more than fair. We shared a hummus plate for the table, and the bread was out of this world. I've had Indian naan many times; this Afghani naan was a bit different than what I'm used to, and literally I could have made an entire meal shoving it down my gullet, but I controlled myself. I'm definitely going back here and taking my out of town guests.Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options
The front desk Indian girl should check her attitude if she plans to be in the service industry. Very rude. We arrived at the restaurant at 9:15 pm but we were told that the kitchen closed. When we said that your hours online don 't reflect that, she yells, I CANNOT TAKE YOUR ORDER . She doesn 't deserve to be in this business stream. Hope the owners take a note coz the food pictures look promising.
The food is really delicious and as authentic as it can get! The kebabs are the juiciest and tender of all, with the right amount of spices in them. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a real feast, and for good bang for their bucks!
First time trying this place today, and the experience was wonderful. Best beef chapli kebab I’ve had around here. The price is very good with generous quantity. Will definitely go again!
