I was very sad to see the quality go down and the prices still go up. I wasn't impressed with anything I tried on the menu and I always left feeling like I wasted money
Tried Montana's in Regina a few years ago and had a bad experience there, but thought I'd give this one a chance (only because Swiss Chalet next door was packed, this place was empty, and I had just driven 12 hours). Had what was supposed to be a steak, but I think it was someone's old shoe. Very tough and flavorless meat. It was on a bed of something that may at one time have been onions; can't be sure on that either. Service was good, food was horrendous.
We were looking for a lunch and stopped at Montana's in the Bay. When we entered we were greeted and led to a table promptly . The waitress came by and left the menus. She returned and we ordered the lunch sandwich specials. Roast beef on a crusty bun, pot roast soup and a generous portion of ceasar salad. all of this for ten bucks. The beef was tender and sprinkled with dried fried onions. Very tasty.
We have been to this Montanas 3 times and each time service is wonderful and food is quite good. We have had burgers, chicken, ribs and all items on children menu. Drinks are reasonably priced and they have daily specials.
