China Town Take Out Food - North Bay

We were informed that this is the top Chinese takeout spot in North Bay. I can't say for certain because I haven't tried the others, but we were extremely satisfied with our meal. The menu had a wide variety of options. Every dish was delicious and served hot. The young woman who took our order over the phone and at the cash register was very friendly.

We ordered take-out and the service was quick. The food was well-packaged and nothing spilled. I ordered the chicken with vegetables and almonds, while my boyfriend got the General Tso chicken combo with chicken fried rice and a spring roll. The spring roll was lacking filling and the first bite was just fried dough and grease. The fried rice was unremarkable and bland. The General Tso chicken was more sweet than spicy. The chicken and almond vegetables were decent, but lacked flavor and had too much cornstarch at the bottom. As a Chinese person with high standards for Chinese food, I can see why this restaurant would appeal to Canadians in North Bay, but it's not one of my favorites.

Check out the reviews for Canton Express to get an understanding of the quality. I previously reviewed this restaurant under the name Canton Express, so I won't delve into specifics. Other reviewers were lucky to find this place on a good day, but the quality has been subpar in the last two years.

Next time your in North Bay order China town for take out. No area to eat in but just take out. Great taste and fast delivery. Great owners and all around food.

Quick and good. Always fresh and hot. Very pleasant staff. Pick up parking convenient. Can't beat the Singapore noodles
