Fins - North Ayrshire

What a great find! Fresh fish seafood cooked to perfection in lovely, friendly, casual surroundings. Staff were great, a few minutes by taxi from Largs and well worth the effort to get there. It felt like I was sitting in a friends kitchen, a great night! (BYOB)

Best seafood restaurant I’ve ever been to. Eat here at least once a week and always look forward to seeing the specials board. Food is outstanding and the service is 5 star. Have taken many friends here and they have all loved it. Well worth a visit.

After visiting the attached shop a few times recently, we decided to try the restaurant on a Friday evening and were not disappointed. The menu itself is not huge but it was a difficult decision in what to choose. There are quite a few specials on the board that made our decision even harder. I chose Cullen Skink and my wife had black pudding bon bons for starters and they were delicious. I had mixed grill of fish fillets and my wife had a ribeye steak, and again both dishes were cooked to perfection and very well presented. To round off we both chose profiteroles from the special board. It was a lovely evening in a small cosy restaurant and we will definitely make a return visit .

This restaurant is the best place to eat in or around Fairlie. The food is consistently excellent and they also have a shop with fresh seafood catches of the day.

I visited Fins for the first time and had a wonderful dining experience. The food was delicious, especially the carrot and orange soup of the day and the smoked haddock. The service was efficient and the atmosphere was great. I highly recommend this restaurant.
