Gelateria La Romana

I knew this chain back when they were only operating in Italy (as far as I knew at least and I was so happy to discover that they now have a shop in Düsseldorf. Tastes just as good as it did in Turin! They have a good range of vegan flavours (out of around 20 flavours 6-8 were vegan, they keep changing which flavours are being offered . Not only fruit flavours are vegan, there is also a dark chocolate flavour (so far my favourite! , a stracciatella with blackberry (very good and a coconut flavour. All of them are very creamy. The vegan gianduia chocolate sauce they put into the cones before filling with ice cream is very yummy too. So far the best ice cream I've had in Germany!

The vegan flavors are plentiful and clearly labelled it is not charged per ice cream scoop but according to portion size in my opinion the ice cream is a bit too sweet (artificial)

Very delicious ice cream, the vegan selection could be a bit bigger. These are sometimes ice-creams that are not directly a fruit sorbet and provide for variety. It's a bit confusing, but you're getting through

Icecream is really good quality. there are no artificial aromes.

The order on the counter is somewhat different than usual: first order the size of the eise and pay. only then pull them to the next personal with their ice cream option. the monthly offer is printed on menus with many vegan choices (clearly labeled with a vegan symbol) including firting as mandels with bisquits. the taste is really intense and delicious. updated by previous review on 2020-05-29
