I have eaten here many times as I used to work across the road at the bookshop. The couple that run Red Emperor could not be more helpful. Always beautifully fresh fish, lovely salad and well priced.

We have purchased fresh fish here twice during our stay. Truly tasty and would certainly recommend for anyone wanting to cook a meal at home.

A recent visit to the this take away restaurant was a complete disaster. We all ordered the red emperor breaded fish and chips and it looked ok when we opened the packaging. once we cut into the fish it was the most disgusting piece of fish i have ever witnessed in australia. it was grey watery and had absolutely no taste at all. I cannot believe all eight pieces could have been that bad if they were caught in australian waters and i thought it was compulsory to inform the customer the origin of the fish if it was not locally caught.. This certainly tasted as if it had been frozen and kept in the deep freeze for at least ten years. Disgusting.

This would have to be the most unreliable business!!!Aware they close Tuesday but you just never know when they are going to actually open. Workers in the area know not to bother with them for lunch because it is so hit
