Add to that the beautiful setting, in Noli 's cobbled backstreets only 100 yards from the beachside promenade, and friendly staff happy to let you 'taste before you buy ' and you have a place that you want to come back to time and again.
We were there several times in different years. The ice is really delicious. Especially the Swiss Chocolate Ice with chocolate from Felchlin the best. And the 'Amandes ' ... a dream really.
Absolutely wonderful! Sadly after October 1 they only open on weekends. Amazing flavors! The cups are a tiny bit too small, so on a warm day the ice cream melts quickly down your hand! It’s so good p, you might just try and catch every last drop!
Pappus is (by far the best Gelateria I know. Every year, I wait for Summer just to enjoy their flavors, which include classic (where else can you find violet? and modern ones, using well known Slow-Food-certified ingredients. The staff always smiles at you, even when the place is crowded and it takes you minutes to decide what flavor you want. You take your gelato, you go outside and walk through the town, feeling like the happiest person in the world.
No wonder there is often a queue into the street. A great selection of flavours and not expensive. Two two-scoop cornets . . . five euros. Smiley, friendly counter staff
