They also offer mock meat options and allow customers to bring their own containers for takeout. The portion sizes are generous.
We had a delightful experience on our first visit, enjoying a tasty combination of satay and delicious laksa. However, our second visit was disappointing. The service was strange and despite specifying that we were vegan, we were offered chicken or seafood rice paper rolls, which was concerning. The sweetcorn soup was average, but the Tom-Yum soup was overly sour and difficult to eat. The sweet and sour tofu lacked flavor and was served in a bland sauce. The Satay skewers were decent. Overall, I would not rush to come back after this experience. (Review updated on 2018-09-10)
The mixed satay was well executed. The laksa was not as good as the vegetarian dish, but it was large, nicely flavored, and very good. The dumplings were disappointing, but they are usually the same at most places. The menu is extensive. The sweet corn soup was okay, the tom yum soup was too sour for my liking, but both soups were larger than usual and only $5. The satay skewers were better than most places, but still on the small side. The sweet and sour bean curd portion was larger than expected, but was very average.
The lady who served us was so happy that we were vegan as she was. every dish she brought us, she said 100% vegan and that made my night honest.
Have had consistently good food here, although service can sometimes be slow. Worth the wait though. Ask for the vegetarian/vegan menu (it's green).
