Around an hour we waited for the food. When it arrived we were very disappointed. The veggie burger was a store bought bun, filled with melted cheese, a slice of courgette and a single leaf of lettuce. The chips on the side tasted store bought and from frozen, it tasted like the chips I used to get from the Chinese takeaway in England. Ordinarily I wouldn 't be too bothered, but considering this was MORE expensive than the meat burgers was crazy. In the meat burger they had a beef patty, cheese, tomato and lettuce. Yet somehow this is cheaper? We mentioned this to the owner that we were disappointed with it and the response was 'you knew what it said on the menu ' or along those lines. The sign also says fresh produce, yet the chips and bun were from a wholesaler. We spoke to the two other tables ont he terrace with us, one table waited an hour for a salad and the other table ended up leaving before the meal arrived because it took so long. We had one veggie meal taken off the bill, but there was no apology for the poor food or service. We won 't be going back again. It is a shame because it looks so good from outside. We live in the area now so won 't be making this our local eatery.
Really lovely restaurant perfectly situated by the river Vaour. Truly home cooked food, very friendly service and very reasonable prices. The owner Louise is so committed to giving you the best possible experience that you can only love her.
The 9 (yes nine of us turned up one evening to find the village pretty quiet. There were a few locals having a drink and another english family having dinner. Despite the owner being on her own she put out a table, took our orders (explaining anything we did not understand , got the drinks, cooked and served the meals and was delightful. She was somewhat relieved we decided that we did not need puddings! Food and value was good, service (not surprisingly! took a little while. Lovely location on the river.
We stopped for lunch whilst passing through St-Martin-Laguepie in the Aveyron region of France and found Le Fast Fou next to the river Viaur with parking nearby. We enjoyed a variety of food from black pudding salad starters through to salads and burgers for main courses, all of which were delicious. Service was really friendly, with the proprietor (Louise) explaining proudly each dish and how it was prepared and from which local producers. Decent value for the starters and mains, but the ice cream desserts were pricey for what they were.
