I ordered a $7 salmon roll that came with 8 pieces, but when it arrived, the sushi was no bigger than my ring finger! Plus, the pieces were all unevenly cut, and the ginger was comically large compared to the sushi. Honestly, this is the worst sushi place I've ever been to, and the portions were ridiculously small for the price. The tea was also unpalatable. I'm just shocked by the sushi I received. I took some pictures to show the size of the sushi compared to my finger and the giant ginger. I left feeling still hungry and will definitely not return. Don’t be misled by the pictures; the sushi is even smaller than it appears!
I attempted to dine in at this restaurant, but the experience was quite disappointing. The sushi was served out of order, and it took about 15 minutes to receive each different type. After approximately 35 minutes, the waitress finally informed us that our order hadn't even been entered into the system. While she offered to remove it from the bill, I decided to pay for it anyway before leaving. I can confidently say I won't be returning. Additionally, I took some pictures to show how much food was stuck to the walls and trim around the booths. Honestly, after waiting so long for nothing, I should have just asked for a fork and eaten the leftovers stuck to the walls.
The sushi was decent, but not exceptional. Our server, Drew, provided good service. However, the prices for the hibachi entrees were ridiculously high, especially considering the small portions served on sushi plates. The scallops were overcooked, tiny, and had a rubbery texture. The servings of vegetables, noodles, and rice were just about a third of a cup each. For entrees priced at $18 and $21, this was quite disappointing. We were the only ones seated at the time, yet we waited half an hour for our meals. It seemed like there were a lot of takeout orders being filled. Overall, it wasn't anything special, and given the many other hibachi and sushi options available, I likely won't return.
This is my favorite sushi house in all of the Springfield area. The rolls are always over stuffed and perfectly made. Prices are fantastic and I highly recommend Rocky Mountain roll and the Treasure Island roll (which is brought out on fire).
This experience was such a mixed bag. On one hand, I liked some of the food, and on the other hand some of the food was undercooked or poorly seasoned. Our server was nice, but our food was brought it at such radically different times that it was almost comical. All in all, I can't give it an accurate rating, so a three star will have to do.
