Big Fernand - Nîmes

Fab burgers. Beautifully cooked "a point". Lovely ingredients all from France, great choices to compile your own burger, even fresh burger buns. Delicious fries and good choice of drinks and dips. We're staying in central Nimes, booked online for home delivery "livraisons". They called to double check everything as spotted a UK mobile number. Great service. Delivery guy on a push bike up a long, super steep hill, not a touch out of breath and utterly charming. Def worth checking out and a full 5* recommendation for the food and service.

Sympathetic staff, French and English menus, options for children, you can choose the ingredients of your hamburger! Excellent, I do recommend!

Called in here as a change from our usual tapas during 'Jeudi de Nimes'. Looked very different from other restaurants we have tried in the region. Great decor inside, menu filled with French themed gourmet burgers. You order at a counter (like fast food) with a choice of beef, chicken, veal or lamb burgers (cooked to your liking). All come with an array of great toppings including fresh herbs and French cheeses (Raclette, Tomme de Savoie...). Served with homemade chips with Herbes de Provence! Have a selection of craft beers brewed in Nimes on offer - what more do you want?Burgers themselves were moist and delicious. Staff were very good and came to check we were happy with every aspect. I think it was reasonably priced based on the quality - around £15 all in (slight extra for beer). Definitely worth a try for anyone visiting Nimes even if you're more like a local, this is a different experience and a thoroughly enjoyable treat!

My friend and I always go to Big Fernand when we're in Nimes, and we've never been disappointed. The burgers are delicious, the secondary dishes too, and the restaurant has a very good ambience. But the Bastteil is probably the staff. Even if they are on the rush they are always caring and efficient and so beautiful!! 10/10 will return permanently;
