Fresh, tasty bagels and bialeys.. sandwiches taste great loaded with meat! Always drive the extra mile to get their sandwiches. Matzo ball soup is awesome! Have some pastries too.
Stopped here on a whim, and WOW it was delicious! Toasted everything bagel, lox, red onion and veggie cream cheese. Absolutely fantastic!
Have you ever wondered what an authentic lox sandwich tastes like? Not only is it picture worthy but so worthy of the flavor on my taste buds! I always grab a few bagels, homemade lox spread, a pastrami sandwich with mustard on rye and a mini lox sandwich. The pastrami is reheated/smoked before getting cut and placed into your sandwich and it just makes it all the more delicious, the flavor really stands out. It's fresh and you can absolutely tell in the flavor of the food. Everyone behind the counter is quick but friendly and accommodating. It's very much worth a visit.
I love this place, but they stole the name?? Fake News! I've been eating the excellent bagels of all kinds, homemade lox spread, lox sandwiches, corned and pastrami since the early 90's here at Greenwood Deli, at the Skokie location and even in Northbrook before it closed. The quality in all locations has always been outstanding and the staff friendly and efficient. You won't find deli this good anywhere else in the Chicago area. Trust me I've looked!
