However, the restaurant lacks a unique identity and feels like it may have taken over an old restaurant space. The random music and TVs that don't show anything add to the lack of ambiance. Overall, it's a typical Indian fast food place in the Chicago area.
The taste of the food at this restaurant can be inconsistent with each order. It's either great or not so great. Sometimes it seems like the drinks are diluted. It doesn't provide the same experience as other Honest restaurants.
I was informed that most, if not all, of their dishes were cooked in butter, although they did not have any dishes with eggs. I opted for a dosa cooked in olive oil instead of butter and some Indo Chinese chili garlic noodles that were already vegan. The staff mentioned that all Indo Chinese dishes were vegan, including rice and pasta dishes. Everything I tried was delicious, but my favorite was the dosa.
The restaurant offers a variety of dishes from North, South, and Indian Chinese cuisines. Some of my favorite dishes include the Manchu Vene coins, hot and sour soup, and Mysore masala Dosa.
This restaurant is a fantastic spot to sample Indian vegetarian cuisine. The dishes are absolutely delicious and you get a generous portion for a reasonable price. The staff is friendly, inviting, and hospitable. I highly recommend this place.
