Make sure to try their bottles of wine, too! The restaurant is a little small and can accommodate around 20-30 people only. It would be best to reserve a table before hand. I was expecting smaller servings given it is a tapas place but it is just right for the price. I’m surprised this restaurant is not included in Zomato’s Best in Manila collection.
I heard a lot of good things about this restau and I’m so happy to finally try their food. I also found out they just opened a new store in Greenbelt (so happy) Pintxo ' is a 'Basque-ified ' take on the Spanish word 'pincho ', which itself comes from the verb 'pinchar ', which is 'to pierce '. Pinchos are traditionally pierced with a cocktail stick to attach it to the piece of bread that they invariably came attached to. It’s my first time to try a pintxo and i fell in love with it. At first, it felt its too small (wasn’t enough) but it was suprisingly filling. The place was quite small but service was great. It was not that busy— we were assisted well and they gave really good recommendations. Its quite expensive but it’s something you can spoil yourself once in a while. We tried their burrata, chorizo, foie, jamon allioli and salmon. Price ranges from 100-500 pesos each
We ordered different tapas and pintxos and everything we ordered tasted good. Im not an expert when it comes to spanish cuisine but I know what good food is. The Rabo de toro is one of my favorites here. The beef is so tender and juicy and the sauce itself is so flavorful. The paella is also delish I just wished they put more chicken and shrimps. Among the pintxos we ordered the Foie and Bacalao were my top picks. The foie is buttery, sweet and creamy and i love the added crunch of the bread. Bacalao is tasty as well. Althoug prices are expensive I guess you will pay for what you will eat. The quality and flavor of their food is reasonable for the price
Food was good and the tapas, how i love them. Price is a bit pricey but considering the location of the resto as well as our experience, worth money paid though servings a bit small. Still, a place worth dining to.
Had a good Friday evening here with excellent G&Ts, good tapas! We loved the Pintxo G&T with Crow's Gin and Botanist G&T both with Three Cents Tonic. Our other beverages Lavender Gimlet and Red Sangria were just ok. Food: best was Regatta Pintxo with yummy cheese and apple jam jamon serrano. Burrata salad was good too. Pan con Tomate, Patatas Bravas and Pollo Ajillo were ok.
