Though this time, because it is Christmas season we waited approx 30mins to be seated and that's very sad. Their ambiance improved compared to last time that we went here (last year pa ata ung huli punta natin prior to this day). Food still tastes the same and the service also went up to the nxt level. Amg dami tao the day we had our dinner here pero they attended to our request in a timely manner Mangan will still be one of our go to restaurants everytime we're having a family day. Service 5 Food 5 Ambiance 4.5 (ang crowded pag madami tao dahil ung interval ng tables is super lapit) Price 5 Very reasonable ang presyo
Mangan always hit the spot! I was craving for sinigang na hipon and this was the nearest one from my office that serves really delicious sinigang na hipon. The sisig rice was also very filling. The pusit in olive oil was also delicious. Service is good as always.

Mangan Restaurant from the name itself is inviting Filipinos to savor traditional and home cooked Kapampangan cuisine in the metro. Mangan Restaurant has a contemporary interior design that adapts to the current mainstream. Mangan wants each of their guest to feel the elegance of present-day restaurants while dining traditional home cooked Filipinos comfort food. Mangan serves a la carte, platter and set menu. MUST TRY DISHES Pansit Pusit is not the typical pansit that you grow up with. It is a squid ink pasta with chunks of squid and al dented noodles. Kare-Kare has fresh “pechay” or Chinese cabbage, sliced eggplant, green beans, “tuwalya ng baka” or tripe, tender beef and rich peanut butter sauce. Pinakbet with lechon kawali has sliced “ampalaya” or bitter melon, eggplant, green beans, okra and squash in shrimp paste sauce and topped with lechon kawali. Sisig ni Mely or Pork Sisig, on the other hand, incorporate the rich kapampangan flavors of pork sisig. Mangan also offers Crispy Pata in three ways- Crispy Pata, Patang Demonyo and Prichon Pata. Bibingka is a rice cake topped with white cheese and slices of salted eggs. It is served with grated coconut meat that can be eaten along with the rice cake. Puto Bumbong is served with butter, brown sugar and grated coconut meat. Unlike the usual Puto Bumbong that we grew up with, Mangan’s Puto Bumbong is chewy. To know more visit traveleatpinas.com
Living in a country which welcomes anything has its perks. We have myriad of choices to eat and experience. On the flip side though, since we get to experience much of the world, we tend to forget to go back to our own roots. This is especially true when it comes to food since there are a lot of different restaurants you get to try. We usually then don’t pay attention to our very own Filipino restaurants.
