Yiayia Victoria - Nicosia

Upon entering this restaurant, a familiar song from my childhood echoed through the air. Memories of singing it with my grandmother while playing in the barricades came flooding back. The victory of my Yiayia still stands proud above one of the barricades that divide the city of Nicosia. The tranquility and relaxation I felt in this café were truly spectacular, despite the remnants of the past surrounding me. Sitting in the comfortable chairs, I watched over a children's park, while being supported by a real war barricade.

This coffee shop is the best in town. Located in the heart of old Nicosia, it provides a true taste of Cypriot hospitality. The coffee drinks and pastries are top-notch, with exceptional service to match. The atmosphere, near the border, gives off a one-of-a-kind vibe. I highly recommend trying the Cypriot coffee, spinach pie, and Greek bougatsa. Dining in is a must for breakfast, with prices ranging from €10-15 per person. Overall, I give this place a 5-star rating for food, service, and atmosphere. Don't miss out on their creamy pastries!

This restaurant is clearly a popular spot with very reasonable prices considering its location in the city center. We ordered a couple of cheese pies and three coffees, which only cost €12! Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
