This wasn't a problem for me, but if you're looking for dining options other than what's inside the casino, you might be out of luck. I didn't explore much outside. There are a few food choices inside the casino, including Coasters Sports Bar, a buffet, a nice steakhouse, and a Dunkin Donuts right next to the casino entrance. We tried all of these - the breakfast buffet was good, we had steaks at PJ Clark's, and we visited Coasters twice for food and lunch. I also stopped by Dunkin Donuts one night for a matcha latte. Overall, I enjoyed my time here. The rooms showed some wear and tear with chipping paint in some areas, but the common spaces were clean and well-maintained. The casino, while not the largest, served its purpose and several of us had good luck with our bets. The dealers were friendly and I had no complaints there. I would definitely consider returning in the future. And thanks for adding to my casino chip collection.
The buffet that used to be impressive is now best avoided! If you have a craving for rubbery corn on the cob, this is the place for you!
My friends surprised me with a belated birthday gift of a trip to this place, where we spent the night. The rooms were really nice and very clean. We took a swim in the somewhat heated pool before it closed at night, which was a great experience. The next day, we explored the area, including checking out the slot machines, although I'm not a gambler so that wasn't really my thing. There was also a cool antique shop on the property that was fun to browse through.
My husband and I ate there on September 16th 2021. He ordered the fried chicken and I ordered the salisbury steak. Both were dry and overcooked. Neither one of us could eat. So we left and we will never go there again.
The kitchen staff that seated me was very nice. I couldn't ask for better service. The food was ok but not the best, and I never complain. I'm very easy to get along with. The staff as I was entering the restaurant was very rude and proceeded to yell at me because I had walked past the sign where I was supposed to stop. I am very short and honestly did not even see the sign and there were 3 people ahead of me standing in the same area but she chose to yell at me. I was super embarrassed and I come there at least 3 times a week and give lots of business. I didnt feel welcomed or comfortable at all. I will only be eating at the other places in the downs after this. I was so upset. To the wait staff and cooks I applaud you and thank you very very much. To the cashier who was rude I am sorry if you were having a bad day but please dont take it out on customers who are there frequently.
